Diploma in Retail Skills (QCF) - Unit Summary Level 2

The Diploma in Retail Skills at Level 2 is a part of the new Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) and requires a minimum of 37 credits. Each unit dependent on its content carries a unit credit value, for example unit 201 carries a unit credit value of 8, whereas unit 203 carries a unit credit value of 4. Details of all unit credit values can be supplied upon request.

Minimum Requirements when calculating Credit Values
A minimum of 37 credits is required to complete the certificate (including unit 201)
A minimum of 14 credits must come from units 202-242, 251-267.
A further 15 credits from units 103, 104, 110-112, 202-242, 251-267, 302-332,335-336.
Only one unit can be taken from 236-238 and 316-320.
Units may only be taken from groups (103,104, 110-112) or (302-332, 335-336) NOT BOTH.
A minimum of 22 credits must come from level 2.

  • 218 Maintain food safety while working with food in a retail environment
  • 219 Assemble retail products in customer’s home/workplace
  • 220 Provide the lingerie fitting service in a retail environment
  • 221 Promote beauty products to retail customers
  • 222 Help customers to buy National Lottery products in a retail environment
  • 223 Keep stock on sale to customers as required levels
  • 224 Display stock to promote stock to customers
