Davidson Training offers the Diploma in Retail Skills Apprenticeship throughout Greater London and Kent If you have a career in Retail and are a Retail Assistant or work in online Retail then this is the course for you.

What does the course involve?

• Dealing with all aspects of Retail over the phone, on the internet or face-to-face.
• Working in mobile phone outlets, retail online sales, travel agents, retail or wholesale outlets, warehouses or based in a retail environment.
• Carrying out general customer service/retail duties.

Interested learners will develop and improve the following skills & interests...

• Sale of goods.
• Deal and assist with customers in a professional manner.
• Handle payments.
• Arrange displays.
• Receive deliveries.
• Order stock.
• Price and label goods.
• Offer advice on products.
• Potential for further development.

The programme consists of the following three areas:

1. QCF Diploma in Retails Skills Level 2
   The QCF Diploma consists of 37 Credits and can be achieved in a minimum of 5 units and maximum of 11 units (dependent on the units selected and their credit value) and is assessed in the learner’s workplace. The learner produces a portfolio of evidence that is used to prove competence on a variety of Retail duties, e.g. Customer Service, Stock Control, Deliveries, Maximising Sales, Orders, and keeping stock at required levels.
2. Functional Skills
   The two Functional Skills are Mathematics and English along with and Communication. Theory training will be delivered with summative assessment being carried out by way of a number of assignments.
3. QCF Technical Certificate
   This covers the knowledge and understanding of the business world and the activities that take place in a business organisation.
   
   Employment Rights & Responsibilities will also be covered, the Government has decided that everyone on an Apprenticeship programme must understand their responsibilities and rights within the working environment. Assessment is by assignment and a multiple choice exam paper completed on-line.
